What does Veritas mean?

“Veritas” is the latin word for truth. In Roman mythology, Veritas was the patron goddess of truth, daughter of Saturn and Virtue.

The word “Veritas” includes also “Veria”, our beautiful city. According to the etymology of Macedonia, the city was built by king Veris. The two main important cities of Veria and Mieza in Imathia were named after Veris’ two daughters. Veris or Viris was the name of Tripotamos river that crosses the city.

The name of our hotel was not randomly chosen, since Veritas Boutique Art Hotel combines true virtue and good taste, while the theme decoration gives off a sense of the Greek golden age.
